Great, but also go to Boston side

Cambridge just poured some more asphalt to enhance the bike lane. Unfortunately for rollerbladers, it is not that flat - it's a bit bumpy. Still glad it there, but they did cheap out a bit on the materials. Boston, on the other hand, did not cheap out, and that is flat. I like Boston side better, but still glad Cambridge... More

The paths along the Charles are a great way to get out of being in a city and enjoy a little fresh air.

We enjoyed the view from our hotel, the walk along the river, and dinner riverside. This public access walk/bike path is a treasure.

After visiting MIT we wanted to take a walk from Harvard Bridge at one end to the Longefelow Bridge at the other. The bike path is great for cyclists and strollers. The full view of the Charles River and Boston city landscape appeared before our very eyes. It was great to watch MIT and other sailors piloting their yatch in... More

If you are biking or walking, the Charles River Bike Path offers a great view of both the Boston skyline as well as MIT and Cambridge. There are a number of drinking fountains and a couple of bathrooms in case the urge calls.

We visited the river trail in the evening. It was a pleasant day. The waters are not clean, but the wind made up for it. So many people bicycling vigoursly enhanced the experience.

I run this path 4 or 5 time a week in the morning and it is a great place to run. Lots of other people out running, walking and biking. Very safe and wide paths to allow for everyone.

This is a nice place to walk or run along the river, however, it does not seem very well maintained. They are redoing the bridges, but the path does not have much in the way of nice grass or landscape. The benches are old and taken up by a few homeless during the night. For exercise, it's worth it and... More

good to get out on a wide and easy to run track, especially good for getting over jetlag. the loop is about 15k around but you can make it shorter by crossing over bridges. good sightseeing along the way. there's always plenty of people on the track, even from 5.30am.

This is a nice place to rest and relax while seeing kayaks and boats nearby. If you can get a hotel close to here is awesome. Some hotels offer free bike rentals and you can cruise along the Charles river. Feel the breeze and fresh air from the open spaces. I also take a walk in this path for half... More
