Iceland provides natural wonder almost everywhere you look and this was a standout! What a sight and also a great place to walk about!

Although it's touristy, this was my favorite waterfall that I saw in Iceland. It's incredibly easy to get to, much like many of the main attractions in Iceland. It's about 2 hours from Reykjavik, and has a parking lot. You can walk up as close...More

There are stairs to the top of the waterfall. When you are at the top, continue walking through the gate and beyond where you will find a wide path with countless waterfalls equally magnificent and a deep ravine with view to the ocean all along...More

The landscaped and waterfalls are out of his worlds and no words can do them justice. I'll post some photos but even they can not capture the beauty here. You can walk in behind the falls and in a sunny day there will almost always...More

Part of the Golden Circle. Bring good walking shoes and climb the stairs to the right of the falls to the top of the falls, then keep walking. Incredible beauty.

We did the beautiful scenic tour from Selfoss to Vik and stopped at the various attractions. The most striking was Skogafoss Falls. It's really beautiful and the hike with the stairs is a must. Make sure to go past the small fence when you arrive...More

It is very easy to find, no parking problems, and the view is really great. Go up the stairs and have a look from above. And rare for Iceland: It is free.

Skogafoss is first seen from the Ring Road at a distance. It is worth pulling over to take a picture with the fields of beautiful purple lupines in the foreground. The waterfall is easy accessible from the parking lot. I took the time to make...More

Spiked hills carpeted in green (beginning of June), topped with ice and sprinkled with trickling water falls surrounding this roaring one. Prepare to get wet if you want to get close.

This is a spectacular waterfall, but most fun was taking the staircase to the top of the falls and hiking along the small canyon for the river that feeds it. Multiple rapids, beautiful small islands, and glaciers in the distance on one side and the...More

You can camp in the Parking Lot. Toilet is open 24 hours. Someone walks by to collect a camping fee. Can't recall how much it was

Hi yes there's a couple of restaurants and restrooms on site very close to the falls. Hope this helps. Try Seljalandfoss falls about 20km from here it's amazing you can walk behind the falls here.

Skogafoss is just off the main coastal road which is full black top so no issues there. We went in Dec 16, just after heavy heavy rain and the track off the main road was fine, we had a Nissan Micra and it coped without any... More
