Named in 2012 as one of National Geographic's “25 Wonders of the World," Blue Lagoon has evolved from its infancy as a reservoir of geothermal runoff into a world of geothermal wonder. The unique properties of its waters provide not only an enchanting lagoon experience, but also the patented, active ingredients in Blue Lagoon skin care: silica, algae, and minerals. Blue Lagoon is located in a sprawling, 800 year old lava field in the heart of the Reykjanes Peninsula – a UNESCO Geopark. Just 20 minutes from Keflavík International Airport and 50 minutes from Reykjavík, Blue Lagoon is simultaneously remote and easily accessible.

We saved the Blue Lagoon for the end our trip to Iceland. An opportunity for a wonderful "bucket list" and relaxing experience before a long flight... And it was so disappointing. You have to book way in advance, so good bye spontaneity. It is a...More

We visited the Blu Lagoon and loved every second of the experience. The Blu lagoon includes mud masks whilst you’re out swimming in the hot waters (which were incredible!!). You can choose to swim around, step into the sauna or enjoy drinks from the swim...More

You guys, this was truly a fantastic place and so beautiful. We went in June, and while it was a little crowded they really did do a good job of controlling the flow of people so that we were never without a secluded place to...More

Amazing experience on a cold day. A little pricey, but definitely worth the money for soaking in 40 degree milky blue water. There are other less expensive lagoons in Iceland but they are different.

Kinda felt like a soviet prison camp. Not really sure the appeal? It was a freezing cold day and at night so maybe that is swaying my option. The water was Luke warm and I worried more about my hair falling out from the water...More

Everyone going to Iceland should include this in everyone's itinerary. I left it last and I'm glad, it was so relaxing. I picked the premium package and glad I did so. It included a drink extra face mask, flip flops ( unless you are running...More

This place was really a neat experience and a must do. The grounds are nice and clean and offer a million spots for a photo op. It is a little bit like Disneyland and there can be queues and things like that depending on what...More

We had an amazing time at the Blue Lagoon! We arrived at the opening time of 8:00 which was perfect. It was still dark so the lagoon had an eerie look with the steam rising off of the water. We went directly from the airport...More

After a long haul flight to Iceland, what else is better than to soak your tense and tired body into a warm bath? The blue lagoon is huge in size and just to circle around the whole pool will take more than half an hour,...More

Another of Iceland’s must see attractions. Can’t beat relaxing in the warm waters, steam room and saunas! You would need to leave at least a few hours to truly enjoy the experience. Don’t miss the restaurant, wasn’t cheap but the food and service was excellent....More
