Visited with my daughter for her 25th birthday. We booked online a few weeks before our arrival date. (You will be disappointed if you dont book in advance) We booked to arrive between 11.00am and 12. Left our hotel in central Reykivik and arrived at 11.00am, getting the flybus. We booked the package that includes use of a towel and... More

Wasn't too packed during the visit and the wristband system works well. Simple enough procedure to change and shower and soon enough we were in the water. Enjoyed the mud mask and the In water bar is a nice touch. The major let down is all the mud mask slosh on the bottom of the water. Made the mistake of... More

Early morning arrival in Iceland and straight to the Blue Lagoon on the 730am shuttle for 8am reservations. Make reservations well in advance. The Lagoon is between the airport and Reykjavik, it is best to visit either upon arrival or before departure, there is little to see or do between the Blue Lagoon and Reykjavik. The shuttle service was a... More

First and foremost - book early! There were two slots left (luckily for the day we wanted) on the last day of our holiday when I checked THREE weeks before. I appreciate this could be a seasonal thing but better to early than miss the boat. The other point is to arrive early - there was a ten minute queue... More

I am a tour guide and have been to the Lagoon over 40 times. Iceland is awesome, and any visitor should go to the Blue Lagoon and experience the warm waters in the spa pool. Book in advance, it is solidly booked out during the busy periods. The reception area is really not fit for purpose now. Busy and chaotic... More

Worldwide know it is just cool to be there and enjoy the warm water. Try to be there in the mornings or the evenings. The changing rooms are quiet busy if there is just a bus of tourists unloaded... but impressiv to imagine, that all the warm water just comes out of the earth.

My partner and I went to the Blue Lagoon before our flight back to the states. It was the perfect way to ending our trip in Iceland. It was a congested when we arrived, as everyone was trying to store their luggage, and get on their way to the lagoon, but it was worth the weight. Once we received our... More

A bit confusing at first as we were expecting towels to be included in our advance ticket, but the was not so and took a little sorting out. The computerised wristbands to open and lock your locker is a marvellous idea. The wristband can also be used to register drinks and snacks and you pay for these as you exit.... More

This place is expensive (50 EUR per person WITHOUT a towel) but highly organized and with an awesome infrastructure. If you don't mind paying that amount of money (which is just a taste of how expensive Iceland is) for a warm bath, stop here for 1,5 to 2 hours to relax. Don't forget the sunscreen, towel and your waterproof camera.... More

We decided to make this as our last destination in order to cap off a nice week of traveling. Yes it is a tourist trap given the prices, however the service was great; the water was nice and so was the ambience. If it's your first time in Iceland I recommend to go here just to round-up the experience. :)
