No admission fee but we made a donation. I'm also a DUV member and we were in the area so we decided to stop. What a treat! Many items to see and a small souveniers to purchase. It was on a shaded and quiet street, very helpful staff, clean with a wonderful collection in the Museum and Memorial garden in the rear. The Museum building is beautiful and well cared for, makes me proud to be a Daughter of Union Veteran

The war that helped shape a country is remembered here in War of the Rebellion: Officials Records of the Union and Confederate Armies. The Daughters of the Union Veterans Headquarters and Museum, located at 503 South Walnut Street, also contains medals, photographs, actual battle swords, flags that were carried into battle, rifles, letters from soldiers at the front, currency, drums... More
