This place is amazing. The self guided tour is sufficient but there are docents available should you have questions. Everything is very well displayed. The special exhibit was excellent. The "shows" are worth the time. Try to catch them all.

Excellent food, service. Wish they could pave their parking lot. I try to keep my car clean but it is impossible when you go there.

The museum was very well put together it was an enjoyable afternoon. My family spent three hours enjoying the museum. There's many things walking distance from the museum so makes for a good day in Springfield. Cost was $15 a person.

Check out the new display about 4 Presidents with Illinois connections. It will only be through the end of December! Worth going back if you haven't gone in a while.

We got tickets thru the hotel we stayed at for free. I don't know what the cost is or if there is any type of discounted price. The museum would be able to answer your question.
