About
Üvegvarázs - lásson csodát! Az elmúlt néhány évben a Mátra északi oldalának egyik leglátogatottabb turisztikai célpontjává vált a parádsasvári üvegmanufaktúra. A műhely őrzi a településen több, mint háromszáz esztendős múltra visszatekintő üveggyártás hagyományait, ugyanakkor éppen kis méretei és a barátságos, családias hangulat miatt nyújt közvetlen élményt a vendégeknek, akik az országban egyedülálló módon ki is próbálhatják az üvegfúvást, s akár saját poharat is fújhatnak maguknak. A huta – ez a német eredetű szó egyébként olvasztókemencét jelent – minden nap 9-15 óráig tart nyitva, s egész óránként indulnak a végig interaktív, „beszélgetős”, idegenvezetéssel kísért, a humort sem nélkülöző üvegfúvó bemutatók. A látogatáshoz előzetes bejelentkezés szükséges, akár e-mailben, akár telefonon, hiszen kicsi maga a hely, egyidejűleg körülbelül 25 vendéget képes befogadni.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Intresting look into how glass manufacturing works. Watching their team creat beautiful art from nothing but glass is a magical experience. The presentation (hungarian) was also informative and fun. But i think it would have been an amazing experience even if i didnt knew the language. Its definitely worth checking out.

Highly recommended to visit this place. I believe the demonstration is probably only in Hungarian. You can purchase handmade products

Great experience watching people working with glass. It's simply magical. Kids and adults can even try glass blowing. Our kids - and their dad - were overwhelmed by the experience. (However I am not sure about shows in other languages than Hungarian)

Found this place by chance and I'm so glad we checked it out. This is a wonderful little glass manufactuty that's been functioning for five years now. It can be reached by car only. You need to book an appointment in advance for a one hour tour/presentation. They have limited spots at once because it's a small place. You'll have a presenter who will walk you through the whole process whistle the two trained professionals do the live demonstration on how they make glasses, etc. They will even invite you to try the glass blowing. It is truly one of the most insightful experiences I ever participated to. They do the explanation in Hungarian only, so make sure you have a translator with you for other languages. At the end you have the chance to buy some glass art for a reasonable price. Please don't miss it if you are in the area!

Interesting visit and close look at how a small manufacture works. I liked that it is still a real factory.

Visited with a group and saw the glass blowing demonstration. Saw vase and palinka glass being made. One of the visitors was offered the opportunity to blow the glass. Unfortunately, blew too hard and blew out the bottom.
