After leaving the Grand Coulee Dam, we took a route that drove down alongside Lake Roosevelt. It's a gorgeous lake that offers boating and camping. And for whatever reasons, did not seem to be used very much. It's further out than other lakes, so that might be the reason. But it's a gorgeous lake well worth seeing or spending a... More

This is a favorite lake for my family to enjoy boating, camping, tubing, fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding. We come here many times per year and love it! The lake is large enough for house boats, water skiing and lots of swimming. There are not a lot of people who come here, we like that because we get the entire... More

Lake Roosevelt is VERY large going all the way up into Canada! There are a lot of places safe for fishing and boating. When the lake is "full" there are docks that you can jump off of. The sand is fantastic but can be very hot if the water level is low. Just remember to wear shoes until you get... More

We camped at the well-maintained Fort Spokane campground, which caters to fisherman during certain times of year and boaters during the hot summer. Definitely a water- oriented place. That said. It's an easy walk to historic Fort Spokane, where we received a personal lecture from the NPS ranger (there was no one else there). Worth a half hour to an... More

We had a nice long weekend stay at the campsite. The hot spring are at hottest in the morning, and cools later in the afternoon. Staff were polite and kind. The biggest down side, which applies to all campsite along the valley is the railway track.

Boating, fishing (trout, bass, walleye), tubing, swimming, camping! We are a great family destination. There a lots of different camping options; rustic to vacation rentals. Steamboat Rock is a must for hikers of most abilities. It is a bit of a rite of passage around here. There are two grocery stores, a Variety store and only a few restuarants. No... More

Boating, fishing, bird watching galore. The Visitors Center allows RVs to stay overnight at no charge (limit one night). The lake at sunset is gorgeous for photography. No other fee except what you pay for Tonto National Forest. Don't skip that one, because several Federal Agencies are enforcing it.

My family has gone to Spring Canyon Campground every summer for over 30 years. The beach is beautiful , the water is amazing, the weather is always good. Wish they had hot showers though...
