Have been diving since '94 but only in tropical waters. Thought many times about diving here at home in Alaska but never got around to it. A friend was getting his dry suit and Advanced Open Water certs with Dive Alaska. I decided to join him last minute and Dive Alaska was very accommodating. Gareth was outstanding to work with... Bad @ss. I live in a remote place in Alaska that does not have a scuba shop. I did my advanced book work online but had not done my dives. I'm a bit stubborn, a perfectionist, and get mad easily when I don't get a skill immediately. The 1st dive not so great. Overweighted but hey we're figuring things out.... More

Dive Alaska has been my Anchorage dive shop since 2006. Scott is helpful and they carry lots of equipment in stock and always have boats going out to Resurrection Bay and Whittier. All of my kids have done their intro dives with Dive Alaska.

Let's begin with what I absolutely expect from any dive charter I sign up with: Safety, Reasonably Nice Rental Gear, and a Nice Experience (to the extent the charter has control). Dive Alaska earned 5 stars in each of these categories. Dive Alaska followed all of the standard "best practices" accepted when diving as well as the Coast Guard's requirements.... More

My first trip to Alaska for diving and it was above and beyond anything I expected. I'll definitely come back. We dove with the awesome captain and crew of Dive Alaska! for three days in gorgeous Resurrection Bay and did: Shark Tooth, Boulder City, Little Mary's Rock, the Grotto, Mary's Rock, and Hidden Treasure. All of them were incredible dive... More

This was my first dive experience in Alaska and it's got me itching to go back. I showed up for a few days of diving in Seward in July 2015. They've got a great little boat for a dive platform and have some incredible dive sites as well. Scott and his guides were super friendly and knowledgeable, and when a... More

First time doing a cold water dive and had an incredible experience with these guys. Crew was fantastic and well organized. The dive we went out on was fantastic - tons of different starfish species, kelp flows, etc. As someone who always dives warm water locations this is definitely a unique experience to enjoy while in Alaska. Highly recommend.

I've been diving for several years but this was my first experience with a dive shop in Alaska. From the time of my first phone call to my visit in person, the experience was fantastic. Their hours are awesome (especially compared to other retailers in Alaska) and customer service is outstanding. Great selection, good prices, helpful staff. My husband &... More

I've been a diver for over 40 years. Best shop in Alaska. Flexible training schedule, great dive boat and only real full service dive shop. the area. If you want to dive in Alaska your first stop needs to be Dive Alaska.

Scott organised a 5 day diving trip to Resurrection Bay for our group of 7 divers from the UK, including transport and accommodation. The trip was tailored to our requirements and he and his team (thanks Joel, Denis, Kristen and Karen!) helped make the whole thing a success, going out of their way to help us and even bringing along...
