This place is tiny but fascinating. Not only can you actually feel the difference in the musk ox wool, but you can watch the women work on it and purchase items made from this light warm fiber. Really interesting!

In the downtown area. Definitely worth a stop. The people who work here and who produce the work are Alaska Native peoples. Lovely crafts for an authentic gift.

This little shop is run by a cooperative of artists from various Inuit tribes that spin and weave wonderfully soft hats, scarves and such out of the undercoat obtained from Musk Ox. It is fabulously soft and equally fabulously expensive (and rightfully so). They were...More

Small little shop that is run by a cooperative. You can learn as much as you want to know about musk ox wool and how it's gathered, prepared, spun, knitted, and sold. The wool knitted fabrics are extremely rare. They are extremely warm. And they...More

What I read about the coop made me believe it was more than it was. It was 1 room and a very small selection of their work. Nothing to write home about as an attraction, but a worthy endeavor.

Cute little store and I really liked their products! One of the softest things I've ever touched! The staff was also very kind. It's just that their products are extremely expensive so we did not end up buying anything, but it was worth the short...More

The products that these ladies make with the musk ox fur is beautiful. The scarves, head bands and all that they make is just beautiful. The scarves are so light weight and yet 10 times warmer than wool. It's an interesting and nice place to...More

We walked over to this company after i noticed it while on a city tour. It is a co-op with talented artists who knit, crochet and produce marketable products using the hair from the Musk Ox,

Musk Ox yarn is as soft as cashmere, but is more durable and can be washed repeatedly without pilling. It doesn't take dye well, so it only comes in natural colors. You'll never feel anything softer against your skin!

Very interesting place to visit, friendly & helpful staff that provided lots of information about the items being produced. Will not take long to check it out & it's close to other places of interest.
