Like older cemeteries anywhere, there is much history to be found. There is a seasonal walking tour bringing notice to some our famous and infamous. On a sunny day it is also a place to escape the hub-bub with a good book on a bench or even under a tree. Well maintained.

Many of Anchorage's famous and notorious are buried here. This is a beautiful setting for everlasting rest - or just a nice meditative walk. Centrally located, just across the street from the Sheraton Hotel, it is easily accessible from downtown, by foot, car, or bus.

It might be strange to rate a cemetery but the Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery is a very unique place. It is the final resting place for many of the early pioneers from this area, and has a number of very unique headstones. The location is right near downtown on Cordova Street. I went to an "experience" there that was like... More

I have a few friend's buried in the cemetery and I am pleased with the upkeep that is applied to the grounds and easy access to all the areas in it! Great Job all and thank you for care you put into it.

The cemetery is a peaceful place. It is well kept and has separate areas for different faiths and social affiliations like Elks Vlub.

Smack in the heart of downtown, the peace and quiet of this cemetery is unexpected. A large cemetery, it takes several blocks.

This downtown cemetery is unique for several reasons. Realtors probably look at it as prime property they wish were able to develop. Historians view it as the place to review the beginning of this tent city as we view the graves of the pioneers, some who were here from the beginning. Kudos go to the late John Bagoy, who spent...
