Many of Anchorage's famous and notorious are buried here. This is a beautiful setting for everlasting rest - or just a nice meditative walk. Centrally located, just across the street from the Sheraton Hotel, it is easily accessible from downtown, by foot, car, or bus.

The cemetery is a peaceful place. It is well kept and has separate areas for different faiths and social affiliations like Elks Vlub.

Smack in the heart of downtown, the peace and quiet of this cemetery is unexpected. A large cemetery, it takes several blocks.

This downtown cemetery is unique for several reasons. Realtors probably look at it as prime property they wish were able to develop. Historians view it as the place to review the beginning of this tent city as we view the graves of the pioneers, some...More
