This is a great ride from Anchorage to Seward. It might take a little over 4 hours but the scenery is worth it. We saw bears, moose, swans and the breathtaking views. So worth it!

Close to downtown Anchorage which helps if you have extra time. Took the train to Whittier for the 26 Glacier cruise. What fun!! Train stopped when wildlife was spotted (moose, mom and cub black bear and mt. goats). Lots of narration. Staff was polite, professional...More

very clean, organised, and there's free wi-fi. The stationmaster was helpful with travel directions to our estination. Lots of available local cabs.... we were cautioned agaisnst using Uber, as they overcharge.

Wouldn’t say it’s anything special or to write home about. It’s Anchorages one and only passenger train station terminal. Denali and Fairbanks to the right heading North with Kenai, Whittier and Seward to the left heading South. Train station gift shop inside on first floor....More

We took the train so we visited the depot and the shop there, had a cup of coffee and enjoyed watching the people and looking at the trains.

Ticket booth, travel guides, gift shop, and snack bar - all things one expects in a railroad depot. It's well maintained and efficiently run. If going on a cruise, the curbside staff collects your baggage for the cruise line.

These coupon books have many restrictions, we rarely use them unless the book itself is free and the coupon happens to fit our needs - that’s always a plus. I suggest that you not plan your trip around coupons.
