Visited with my two children, expecting to spend an hour or so there.... we stayed all day! The exhibits were so hands on and demonstrative! My kids spent an hour making the longest marble run they could fit on the table! If you visit Anchorage with younger kids, come here!

I took my 11 year old daughter into this area and we were stuck there for hours, she loved it! The bubbles, the pulley systems and the balls in the wire tunnels were her favourites. The slow motion camera was really cool too.

A very fun and educational part of the museum. It made me wish my children were still small! If you bring young children, plan for some time for them to experience all that the discovery center has to offer!

Children will really enjoy playing with all the interactive displays and activities. There is an art center plus other special activity centers. All the children we saw we totally engrossed into the activities.

This museum is well worth a visit, especially if you have children. We all enjoyed the exhibits, artifacts on display were so interesting! This served as a great into to our Alaska vacation. Highly suggest a few hours here, great lunch in the restaurant, too!

Traveling alone with an eleven year old grandchild caused me to look carefully for fun, educational, yet exciting activities. The Anchorage Museum was a "must do" attraction for me. I wanted to be sure to expose her to the history and the culture of the area. Our visit was excellent, but became outstanding when we reached the Imaginarium Discovery Center.... More

What a wonderful way to spend time with family! The Imaginarium has changed exhibits around, provides fun hands-on science activities for kids (but, they'll let adults participate), and provides a STEM room full of fun science activities for kids to enjoy (snap-circuits are a favorite). The touch-pool, bubbles, toddler only play area, and countless "please touch and explore" areas can... More
