Pike and Western Wine Shop is hands down the best wine shop in Seattle. The proprietor and all the staff members treat you like family from the moment you walk in the door; they all are incredibly knowledgeable about wine and always recommend the perfect wine for every occasion. They offer a few monthly wine clubs. I am a champagne... More

Came in with a very specific question about a very small Champagne producer. The gentleman working the floor knew immediately what I was asking about and although it was out of stock was very knowledgeable and offered good alternatives. To have an intimate knowledge of specific wine regions is rare and it was delightful to be able to interact with... More

Came here to pick up a few bottles to take on a Princess Cruise. Yes, Princess allows one bottle of wine per person for in cabin consumption, everything else is charged a $15 per bottle fee. Still it's worth it because the stuff they serve on the ship is not worth drinking. Now back to Pike & Western. A very... More

This has been my favorite wine destination for 27 years. The staff has consistently been very knowledgeable about the wines in the shop and about their various regions of origin. Very alert to the customers taste and price range, I have observed them attentively suggesting possibilities. And, I like them! It's fun being in their shop.

The staff had a great recommendation for a bold red, it was only $15 and it was excellent. They have a good selection of wines in all price ranges and sorted by local favorites as well.

We were staying nearby and wanted some wine to take back to our hotel. They have a good selection of good quality wines. The staff is knowledgeable and gave us some good suggestions for both white and red. They told us about Beechers cheese shop - another nice find.

The owner and staff was very helpful in selecting some reasonably priced local vino. And our choices did not disappoint ! I felt the selection was more than adequate. There also was a 3p in store wine tasting. Not sure if offered daily. Most stores downtown are more expensive but visit this establishment should you hit the pike market area.... More

Before I moved to Seattle I visited at least once a year. I always made it a habit of visiting Pike & Western Wine Shop to buy a couple of bottles of wine from the Northwest. Every time I go I always appreciate their willingness to expand my knowledge of wine. If you're visiting Seattle they are very easy to... More

Really enjoyed the wines that we picked out from this Pike Market Wine store. Check out the Washington wines. Good prices for the market.

We popped into this shop ahead of joining an Alaskan cruise. They had an extremely wide selection of competitively priced wines and are located seconds away from Pike Place market. We were given really good advice by Jason who spent a considerable amount of time helping with our choice. I recommend you visit this shop if you like wine!! Jason,... More
