If you are visiting the locks, cross over to the southern side and wander down into the Fish ladder viewing area. An interesting and educational setup where you can see the salmon swimming against the current to use this ladder between water levels

We came to the viewing room and there are glass windows, where you can see up close salmon swimming against the strong current to go up the ladder. There were different species of salmon. It was a very fascinating sight and educational experience for us....More

See some good waterlife. But it is a very small glass window. And the variety of fishes to be seen is not too great.

Well worth a quick visit if you are nearby. You can watch the fish from an inside viewing room. It's very interesting.

This was included on our tour and showed how the salmon jump up river. How it tires them. It is amazing how many types of salmon there are. A very interesting trip.
