When I was a kid growing up in Seattle I used to take the bus downtown just to go to the store. It had the most interesting things I thought as a kid. it's always been touristy but they have a lot of interesting curios that aren't actually for sale. Sylvester The Mummy was always my favorite and is the main draw for this tourist attraction. it's worth a trip down the hill from The Pike Place Market which is a must do if you're in Seattle. Especially on a sunny day. It's a 15 minute walk or a sharp cab ride from The Pike Place Market. You can start your walk along the Waterfront Northbound from here and see all kinds of of cool stuff

Walking along Seattle’s central waterfront next to all the Freeway repair, we spotted Ye Olde Curiosity Shop at the end of Pier 54, overlooking the Puget Sound. Open since 1899 it has a pretty mundane entrance with a couple of totem poles either side of the doors, but once inside its simply amazing. So much to see everywhere, from Native American artifacts, to a stuffed two-headed bull calf, shrunken heads, assorted taxidermy, two mummies called Sylvester and Sylvia, and all sorts of interesting things hanging from the beams and rafters. If you are looking for a different kind of souvenir to take home this is the place for you. As they have everything from Mexican jumping beans to Skeleton Posters and jackalopes. TIP: On the way out check out the homemade fudge counter, it’s to die for, Ha ha.

Wow this is an interesting shop packed full of unusual eccentric unconventional items. If you like unique then this is for you, rammed from floor to ceiling, a mix of genuine items and visitor souvenirs. The owners are fun and perfect hosts for such a quirky shop. Worth a visit.
