Here is a conservatory where the children get to smell the smells of wonderful flowers and see cactus that they would never see unless they came here. A wonderful place to kill a hour or two.

We saw the Dale Chihully exibit here while we were in Seattle in June 2014! Gorgeous facility and gardens - made more gorgeous with his beautiful glass sculptures! Don't miss it!

Chihuly says he was inspired by glass conservatories. This one is just up the Capitol hill from his museum at the Space Needle. Indeed nice play of light and changing colors from the sunlight and plants interacting. Plant wise separate rooms for orchids, cacti, bromeliads...More

Stepping into the conservatory on a cool brisk day was like being transported into another world. The grounds are well kept, well worth the $4 admission fee

My bf is a plant-lover, so thought I'd surprise him with a trip here. For $4 at an electronic kiosk by the door, you can spend time looking at all of the gorgeous plants and flowers. Wonderful for a cheap-but-romantic date.

Really a nice way to warm up and view all the beautiful succulents and tropical plants, especially on a cold, rainy day. Even though it's a pubic park, there's a $4 price for admission. That may deter some, but if you've got nothing better to...More

It's a great park with Watertower, greenhouse, and access to beautiful cemetery grounds where Bruce Lee was buried. It's one of my favorite parks to bring a blanket to and read or just sit at the base of the Asian Art Museum art deco building.

Loved seeing all the tropical flowers especially when cold and grey outside. Nice little gift shop with very helpful employees who are not intrusive.

There's a great cafe cafe near the park called "The Volunteer Park Cafe". Cheap, friendly and delish.
