Let me start with I LOVED IT. I've always felt a special connection with the wolverine. You could say it is my totem animal. I was looking for a place where there would be a good chance to see these magical animals. Of course the wild nature is always wild and no one can give you a guarantee you will... More

This is a great opportunity to see animals in the wild, or semi-wild really, because food is hidden all over the slightly cleared area and also thrown into the trees. The two person blinds – small houses really - are situated in the woods at the edge of the clearing. Our spot only had two blinds and was very quiet... More

However if you want close up encounters with amazing wildlife in a fantastic setting with really friendly & helpful hosts, nourishing... More

We saw these incredible animals 5 different times, all in close proximity, exhibiting different behaviour and characters. It was breathtaking! So close that it was easy to take excellent photos. We could even hear them chewing on their food! The hide... More

Of course you can't take any date with any wild animal, we know well this rule. In Era Eero we were unlucky and we saw nothing at all, neither wolverine nor bears. But this is not a problem. The problem is that we arrived at 14.00 o'clock as agreed but we found a locked gate, and we had to wait... More

If you are exploring Finland, it is worth taking the time to travel to Lieksa so that you can partake in a truly fantastic wildlife experience. The company offered to do a 4-hour round trip to pick us up from Valamo monastery in Finland (also interesting) and offered us hot soup, coffee and cake on arrival at the main lodge.... More
