Kennesaw trails are well maintained, safe. There's wise variety of type of trail to hike also, from straight up the mountain to winding meadow paths. Lots of historical things to see also on the walks. Highly recommend. Parking at the main lots can be tight when it's nice out, on weekends.

We were visiting my son, and he had recently hiked up the mountain. We did not want to hike it, so we went planning to drive up. it turned out that on the weekends, you cannot drive a vehicle up, as there are way too many hikers on the roads. They did however, have a shuttle to the top for... More

This is a beautiful park. Hike the mountain with your friends or even your furry friends. Its a relatively easy walk up.

Been in the South over 25-years. We've not had a bad time at the Mountain in all that time. From the War of the States reinactments to Scouting events/outings to hiking up & around the mountains, we've had lots of fun. Only problem - its become popular and can get crowded. Its big enough, however, for many people to enjoy.... More

We live in Kennesaw and regularly hike the mountain on nice Saturday or Sunday mornings. You will see all kinds of hikers...backpackers in training, families strolling, everday walkers and runners wanting a challenge, parents with strollers going up and down the mountain road, couples, teens, walking groups, tourists, etc. We enjoy hiking up the trail through the woods that begins... The Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield is a significant battlefield of the Civil War. The Visitors Center of this National Park has a very descriptive and informative film of the battle of Sherman finally directly encountering the Confederate Army leading to the fall of Atlanta. Displays are also helpful in understanding the battles. You can hike or drive to the top... More

Was enjoyable and seemed safe. I think it's a must visit if you are in Kennesaw. Seemed busy but plenty of parking.

We were a little late getting here and missed the movie so we purchased the DVD. We watched it that night and it was really well done. There are some large monuments that you drive to then take a short walk. We didn't hike but understand there are lots of open spaces to investigate. The National Park Visitor Center is... More

For hikers, this was an excellent place. Lots of trails. Signs are available to let you know what had been in that area during the Civil War.
