The hike is pretty demanding in places, especially when you're trying to get down some of the steeper parts. We took the jeep trail, as opposed to the tougher and reportedly scarier race trail. Round trip was 5 or 6 miles and took us about...More

Parking and hiking are free. The trail head is off 2nd Street and Monroe along a residential lane. This is a connection of three trails to the top. The trail starts as a rocky and steep jeep trail the first .6 mile, but smooths out...More

We decided to do this activity as my husband is from Seward. He coaxed me into climbing this bridge with him as its on his bucket list. We took the easier route which in itself is very challenging for the occasional gym frequenter. It's a...More

Make sure to stay within your abilities. The easier route takes you through a breathtaking valley. Take the path beyond the locked gate and head right when the jeep trail ends. Once you hit the valley, the climb can be made along the ridge line...More
