This glacier is very close to the water. It is beaytiful. We saw it from a bay cruise and it looked spectaculat but they didnt get us close enough for a good picture.
Took an early morning heli-kayak trip out there. Highly recommend. Totally surreal paddling amongst giant icebergs and seals. Glacier so huge you can't really get an idea of how big it is. Go with an experienced guide.
My husband and I hiked with Alex, our guide with Adventure 60 North. The hike up to the glacier was moderate in terms of elevation gain and quite lovely with excellent views of the glacier. The hike on the glacier was nicely facilitated by Alex,...More
We went with Liquid Adventures and they did not disappoint. A 1 hour boat ride, where the guide looked for wildlife, to Bear Glacier where LOTS of icebergs surrounded us for 2-3 hours kayaking. Surreal beauty and a unique experience. LA provided rain gear, gloves...More

We boated by the Bear Glacier on our Kenai Fjord excursion. It was very beautiful sight as all the glaciers are. A must see before they shrink

Definitely worth taking a tour/cruise. It gets cold near the glaciers so bundle up like Kenny from South Park and enjoy the views!
Best excursion we've ever been on. Our Guide Jarrod was excellent. It was surreal to paddle around glaciers. Jarrod even recommended Kincaid Park in Anchorage to spot moose. We went 2 days later and saw two moose. Thanks so much. The Smiths
