This is where most of the fishing and dive tours leave from. Lots of nice beaches in the area. There is a good restaurant on site that is cheap. Good views of the harbor from the restaurant. Grab a bite and beer here. We usually eat here before heading to the airport, nearby. I saw a fishing boat come in... More

This is where the Kona dive and snorkel boats are based. Limited services, but there is a dive/bait shop with drinks, snacks and a bathroom.

I have been here many times for a little walk and take a look some turtles along with. Usually there are not much people and peaceful beach but the day was a little busy. I was walking into ocean and was standing to check the text of my cellphone. I didn’t hear anything but someone came by and told me... More

Visited this beach to see sea turtles. It was beautiful! We say turtles on the sand, and many in the water. The beach is a little secluded, so it wasn't very busy. The water is warm, and shallow. We even saw some flying fish!

Stopped here in the late afternoon for a "cold-frosty" schooner of beer and snacks. Service was quick and professional and the beer.....ohhhhhh, so cold and soothing-a perfect cure for a hot-humid afternoon. Their french fries and stir fried pork with onions absolutely delicious. What a wonderful treat with an awesome view of the Pacific Ocean!!!

If you Iike ice cold schooners filled with your favorite beer and excellent fish and chips this is the place! The calamari is excellent too. Onion rings to die for. Nice views of the boats coming and going. Great place to go after an early morning boat trip.

After having lunch in Kawaihae we drove across the street and took photos of the harbor. The sailboats were beautiful in the sunlight, the palms were waving in the breeze and with the clouds in the background it was a beautiful view.

This harbour is easy to get to and is where many of the dive boats and snorkel tours leave from. There is plenty of parking and the area is very clean and not intimidating. There are 2 major lots you can leave from both with clean washrooms and shade areas to wait. There are gas stations, restaurants and stores in... More

This is a place I frequent, see the giant working dredger converted from an old war ship. See the island's infamous wild chickens, it's quiet, it's beautiful, sea turtles gracefully float in the tide eating algae and are protected from other predators by a natural barrier reef. If you go to the small state park next to the marina, bring... More

This harbor is where most of the dive boats are located. It has plenty of parking and is easily accesible from Kona and Waikoloa. Restrooms are clean and located throughout the harbor.
