I was a little leery of an 11 hour tour while on "Vacation". However, this day was amazing. We had Dreu Basaldua as a guide and his knowledge and personality made the day actually seem short. I learned much about the history and culture of the island and had fun doing so! I worked retail for 16 years and I know great customer service and a genuine love of subject matter when I see it, Dreu had both in vast quantities. If you have only one day to explore the island I vehemently recommend this tour and especially this guide.

First off I would like to thank Derek, he was great and very informative. If you have a hard time hiking or being in a vehicle for extended periods you may struggle, but the experience and sights we got to see were worth all the long rides. We started with going to the Kona coffee farm to wake us up for the morning them we went to check put the volcano national park, we then checked out a black sand beach, got malsadas and did many more things if you go it is a great experience.

What a great tour. Derek was an excellent tour guide. He’s super knowledgeable and passionate about his job. I loved all the extra information he had about the history of the island. He was extremely friendly and funny. The lunch was really good and our entire group had a great time. Derek was inclusive of everyone and made the day amazing.

The experience was amazing. We were lucky enough to see the night glow at the volcano national park. Also everything on the trip was very well planned by Dre (Tour guide). Our tour guide was the highlight of the show. Never seen so much energy in a person. He was phenomenal and easy to talk to about Hawaii culture. Overall a 5 star experience.

My college age daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed Big Island Tour. Our tour guide, Daniel, picked us up at the hotel on time. There were a total of 4 people on the tour. Daniel offered great historical information. He offered the group various drinks, snacks and even ginger candy in case anyone was susceptible to motion sickness during the car ride. The "small" group allowed for the opportunity to customize the tour. We had the option of the duration of time for each of the stops, opportunity for restroom breaks, coffee and even visiting a fruit stand. Lunch portions were more than plenty for a group of 4 women. Daniel was able to answer our questions and made sure to check on our comfort and welfare. Each stop was informative, fun and breathtaking. We highly recommend a tour of the Big Island and specifically with Wasabi Tours and if possible, with Daniel as your tour guide.
