Rude and expensive. No aloha. Went to get a bodyboard for my son. Owner ranted about politics and was bashing tourists. Told me he'd give me a good deal, ended up charging me full price. I competed the purchase because by that point my son was excited about the board. So, I just paid it. $285 for a bodyboard, fins and a leash. Went into the store to rent surfboards. I grew up surfing in CA. Wanted to teach my daughter how to surf. Basically told us he didn’t have anything, all the public beaches were closed (they are not), and didn’t point us in a direction to rent a “soft top” surf board. If you need anything in the store that requires assistance, I would go somewhere else. You can see from most of my reviews, I have never given a 1 star. I would go to Kona surf company. …

Went here to rent fins - they have tradtional fins AND step-in fins which are so much more practical with the rocky entries to snorkel sites on the Big Island. Put on your sand shoes or aqua socks - get into the water and then deal with the fins! Yay!!!

We found them in their new digs! It was a great layout and wide selection of very clean rentals for snorkeling. Prices are affordable. We grabbed body boards as well!! They set up with amazing gear while we are visiting the Big Island.
