The Kona Farmers Market is centrally located right in the middle of downtown Kailua-Kona. They have a lot of inexpensive to expensive Hawaiian nick-nacks, flowers you probably can't take home (look for the Hawaii Dept of Agriculture stamp) and touristy items. But the real draw for me is the fresh fruit and Kona coffee. Several vendors have good prices on... More

Lots of local baked goods, fruits, and vegetables as well as food products. The local dragonfruit was the best I have tried- red flesh variety. I also tried the purple star fruit which was excellent. The food truck had good Thai eats. You should go and try the different offerings.

The market was an easy 30 min drive from Mauna Lani and parking was a breeze right there at 9.30 Saturday morning. We were hoping to pick up some local fruits like papayas, mangoes and longans, along with one of a kind souvenirs . We weren't disappointed since every other stand is a fruit vendor. There were also a few... More

One of the best things about Hawaii is the fresh produce. Farmer's markets are the best way to get the best of the best. There are some souvenir type items as well. Some appear to be locally made, but some are clearly marked as imported. Either way - it's got the island vibe. The Kona Farmer's Market on Ali'i Drive,... More

The small market is very easy to find and get to, and consists mainly out of fruit and different kinds of crafted objects. The crafts are beautifully made and the fruit good, but the prizes are pretty high and yiu'll have to check so that the fruit actually is locally grown. Another thing is that you could find very different... More

We were able to find a number of little treasures to take home for friends. One fruit I came across to try that I had never tried before was the yellow dragon fruit. What a wonderful treat. If one wishes to try out the yellow Dragon Fruit, there is a price per pound difference so check out the vendor on... More

We timed in the start of our trip by dropping into the Saturday morning market. It's located in a shopping mall parking lot so very convenient for parking. Loads of local fruit and veg. Everyone was so pleasant and put up with all our "look at the size of that avocado" and "wow, what is that??" remarks! We sampled rambutan,... More

This is a fairly large market but mostly made up of tourist trinket shops. There are some good produce stands at the front of the market and we enjoyed sampling the longans, rambutan, lilikoi and little bananas. Couldn't be more convenient- right on the touristy part of Ailii Drive.

This is a local gem. Mostly a traditional farmers market. Such a verity of fresh vegetables and fruits. Some unusual. Its nice to try different things. Visited twice for fresh foods for dinners in the condo. We enjoyed all of the items we bought. Nothing went to waste. They also had a lot of hand made items like baskets, jewelry,... More
