Description:

From our factory on the slopes of Hualalai Mountain's bountiful Kona region...

From our factory on the slopes of Hualalai Mountain's bountiful Kona region on the Island of Hawaii comes the one and only Original Hawaiian Chocolate(R).

We are the first to grow, hand-pick, sun-dry and process only Hawaiian grown cocoa beans, non-blended to assure purity and quality.

The result is a delicious single-origin Hawaiian chocolate of distinctive texture and taste.

The OHCF farm and factory tours are offered Wednesday mornings at 9:00am and Friday mornings at 9:00am. It is a one hour walking tour of the orchard and factory and of course, includes chocolate sampling! Bob conducts a fabulous tour ... it's full of information about every step in the chocolate making process, from growing the trees to molding each handmade delicious bar.

Please go online to book your tour for Wednesday or Friday. Chocolate Shoppe is open Tuesday through Friday 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Chocolate is Aloha!

Small farm up a steep hill. They give you 3 samples of their chocolate which are delicious, and let you see a chocolate tree with pods and beans in person. You get to also watch a 15 minute tape that is very informative. Little gift shop for buying their chocolate.

Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Very well priced for the tour itself. Learned a lot about chocolate and the making of it. The cost of the product itself is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and it is worth it. The sample of the chocolcate fudge sauce was very tasty. The only problem was that... More

We didn't find this place originally during our pre-holiday planning but extremely glad it popped up on TripAdvisor search. There was no tour on our visit but Steve let us watch the video which was very informative. The chocolate samples were larger than you would get in other places and were gratefully accepted. Without a doubt, the best chocolate we... More

Sampled good chocolate. Bob was a nice host. Learned about growing chocolate and turning it into chocolate treats. It was a nice quick tour. If you have extra time, I would recommend this tour.

Organic, non-gmo...sign me up! We had REAL hot chocolate! So creamy and RICH! But worth it! Got cocoa nibs tea as well. I drank it for the last few days before breakfast. Very good!

What a fun tour! The owner Bob conducted the tour and taught us so much about the growing and making of chocolate. We enjoyed learning about the different varieties of chocolate they make and we really enjoyed tasting them!

I didn’t find this place in my research on interesting things to do near Kona, but we picked up a booklet in the airport that mentioned it. Glad we did! Although the day we could go the tours were booked up, we were still able to watch a video about the growing and chocolate-making process and taste free samples. This... More

It was a great price and length of time. The owner/tour guide was an excellent speaker, very knowledgeable and left plenty of time for questions. We learned a lot about chocolate and though a somewhat complicated process was explained in a way that was easy to follow and was very enjoyable. The website was comprehensive, made booking easy and gave... More

This is a must do! We have been coming here and bringing new friends for many years. You can see the actual orchard with the cacao pods growing they take you through all the steps from picking to the finished chocolate. Great place to get one of the worlds best chocolates in our opinion. Family ran.
