Great location, very nice view and the wine is OK but unfortunately the service is not that great. The owner has to learn how to give better service to his customers. Everything is about the experience not just getting wine in your system! Not sure I want to visit again when I go back to Melnik.

Everything was great but we did not like the wine itself, a matter of taste. The cellar and the place were nice , you have a view to the town

This restaurant is in cave. It's cellar, they pretend that wine is own produced, but I'm afraid that it's not like this....but Bulgarian typical brandy - rakia is the quite nice! They have some cheese and dry meet with wine. The atmosphere is very authentic and timeless. Visit it, without bug expectations for the quality of wine but it's OK!

A small wine cellar that has been owned by the same family for generations. They produce red and white wine, plus rose, all from Bulgarian grapes. The owner was nice and chatty (it helped that we both speak Slavic languages), and the low temperature in the cave/cellar felt fantastic after the heat outside.

It offers traditional Bulgarian wines from the region. Very beautiful city views. Not very friendly owner. Good prices for wines. We saw two rainbows here.

Me and my wife thought we would visit melnik as part of our holiday. We were looking for the best wine tasting experience we could find, but it wasn't meant to be. We took the long walk to the far end of the village, and up the steep cobbles, just as the lonely planet book described, in temperatures reaching 28... More

Very nice place on a hill, small family owned wine cellar. The owner showed us the cellar and told about Bulgarian wines. We tried one and bought the bottle (in plastic, which is an advantage for plane-travelers). Now I regret, that I bought only one, because it’s already done …

This small cellar is built into the rocks so it's interesting to see. The wine was more like table wine, pretty average to mediocre quality. But you may still find it cool to buy a bottle as the owner fills it up and sticks a label right in front of you. I found the owner quite rude and rushed which... More
