Interesting place to visit

The place is interesting for adults, not much for children. On last Monday of the month the entry is free for BG citizens. You can spent about 15-20 min.

The tomb itself was closed (permanently according to a lady working there, see below) so we went to the replica which included a minimalist museum of about 10 square meters (with explanations in English, German, French and Bulgarian). The lady selling the entrance tickets was very unfriendly, possibly because I insisted in getting a ticket for the entrance fee I... More

You should visit. There's no words to presents this place. When you saw it, you'll be impressed. Inside the tomb is just bombastic. If you have imagine, you'll see something amazing. That's all.

this place is near the village of shipka. when you travel, right after the entrance to the village, you take the left turn to the tomb. it costs something like 5 leva to walk inside for a guided tour and an interesting explanation. good.

We arrived at Kazanlak to visit the Rose Museum After lunch we went to visit the Thracian Tomb To our surprise the original site was locked off and no public access was possible Instead we could visit a copy (replica) made in the 70's by some local artists The site is interesting but lacks the feeling of originality 6lev per... If you look at the web pictures it looks amazing but in reality not so. Yes it is quaint but the admission price after you finally find it (directions to not well marked) you pay, for what you see a hefty entrance fee in basically a gift shop, in turn squeeze through a small awkward opening and yes the small,... The replica of a Thracian Tomb in Kazanlak is certainly worth visiting. It is very authentic and illustrates how the interior of the domes may have been decorated. It is quite small inside, with room for only four people at a time. A visit to this replica should be accompanied with a visit to an actual tomb such as Shushmanets... More

Worth the visit. With its history, squeezing through the tight passageway of the tomb gives one a feel of the ancient rituals and practices.

This Thracian tomb is built to the exact specifications of the original. What is amazing is the acoustics in the tomb. We sang Alleluias to test the sound. It was really amazing. Lots of information on the walls just before you enter the tomb. Really enjoyed this shirt visit. Only four people can enter the tomb at the same time.... More
