I've skied in Zell am See several times and always love the views from Schmittenhohe. On a good day you can see for miles. Enjoy a cold drink on s hot day (as I did today) and ski down (you can't go higher), or if the wind is cutting and the temperature low, have a coffee or hot chocolate at... More

OK, so I like "groomers" and I like skiing below the tree-line. I was skiing with my two kids, both of which are accomplished and can do groomed blacks. This isn't the biggest ski area available, but it's got a lot going for it and is varied. It can get pretty busy on some of the "intermediate" slopes in high... More

Not the largest ski area but as some good blue runs for beginners and more demanding pistes for the more advanced. There are plenty of on mountain restaurants and for such a sized area, a disproportionate number of gondolas which eliminates queues. My wife who is a novice enjoyed skiing there however as a more advanced skier I'm not sure... More

Every year we drive from the Netherlands and have a three day ski trip here. Every year we want to come back. The owners are friendly, the skiing is good and the apre-ski is awesome. The rooms vary in size and price enough to accommodate groups, families and couples. We had the fully inclusive package. Breakfast is really good. Ranging... More

A group of 5 of us spent the week in Zell am See skiing and snowboarding on Schmitten as well as the surrounding areas! It was amazing, the weather was great for most of the time - unfortunately there was one wet and rainy day where we got soaked. The food on the mountains was incredible, the slopes were really... It is our 5th visit and we all observe changes to the bad. The preparation of trails is at best careless. Several years ago trails were looked after much better! This is very important! The prices are going up (e.g. ski-pass rose from €30 to €50) while the service is going down: cleaning is very poorly performed (dirt, waste and... More

Beautiful location for views, chilling after a ski or even if you're not skiing. Cable car ride is good. Worth a visit - open in the summer too - so excellent location for walking/ hiking trips.

Good ski/ board areas up from Zell am Zee. Gets crowded on the gondolas but try to get there for 8.00am and you will be easily on quick. Great well groomed pistes, not too much off piste but some. Lots of blues and reds to go at as well as a couple of blacks. Finish the day off at the... More

Just back from a half term ski holiday in February 2017 with the kids and two other families with kids - 12 of us in total. We went on a package deal with Crystal ski. I would say it's one of the most expensive holidays we've been on - total cost somewhere in the region of £6000 for 7 nights.... More
