The walking around Mayrhofen is beautiful. We have walked in Scheffau, Saalbach, Kaprun and a few other places in Austria and so far this is our favourite.

Mayrhofen has plenty of walking trails to suit all ages and abilities. The Tourist Information Centre has lots of leaflets And maps. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. We purchased the pass which allowed us to use the lifts everyday in nine different places locally...More

There is a walking track along the river from Mayrhofen to Hippach (5 km) with funny wooden sculptures all the way. It's an easy walk no matter how young og old you are. No excuse, off you go.
