The Kitzsteinhorn is legendary: it`s not just a glacier – it`s THE glacier. Salzburg`s highest ski area offers an unparalleleld Alpine experience 365 days a year. It`s here that the winter season begins. Starting in autumn, you`ll already find the...more

We visited the Kitzsteinhorn mountain in summer. You have to take 3 cable cars to get to the top - about 3000 feet. Fun for kids. At the top the have the Ice Aren which is a small slope of about 60 meters of snow...More

I have been here after 7 years. I found it almost same. There is not so many changes in the facilities of the ski park. Only 1 more gondola lift? You need to use old Poma lifts to reach the final peak to ski at...More

I hate cable cars but it was essential even in June the snow half way up was 6-8 feet deep. Views at the top are worth every breath it takes to get up this high.

Just got back from what I thought would be an enjoyable first day of skiing for the season. Instead, I experienced what I can only describe as systematic defrauding of people. So while I would generally rate the area/mountain higher, this experience was so outrageous,...More

I really liked the journey of going up from the parking lot to the top and the different ways and steps that we had to take to get to the top, like busses, lifts and an elevator

Wonderful trip up the mountain using 3 cable cars and chair lifts. An experience in itself. Just make sure it is going to be a clear day as the next day after we had mean there was cloud cover all day.

This is a must visit. The cable cars up are expensive but worth he cost. Stay and enjoy everything there is at the top. You won’t be disappointed.

Don't forget Salzburg is worth a visit in it's own right, try to spend a day in the city at least, not just as a stop off for other places to see / visit. :)
