About
The panorama of the Zinkenkogel is impressive - nowhere else you have such a beautiful view of the city of Salzburg, Untersberg, Dachstein and Co. Summer: The Keltenblitz with its 2.2 km of fun and excitement is Salzburg's longest and probably most spectacular toboggan run - a great destination for the whole family! Whether you are taking a leisurely ride up the mountain with the double chairlift or a hike from the parking lot of the Zinkenlifte with your loved ones past old tunnels, rejuvenation points and marvelous views - no matter – atop the Zinken a magnificent view over the Salzachtal with the old town of Hallein awaits you. Winter: The Zinkenlifte Hallein / Bad Dürrnberg present themselves in winter as a small ski area with a large offer for families away from ski masses - small but nice. Even children and snow lovers will get their money's worth! In the Zinki children ski area, the little ones can practice their first swings or let off steam while snowtubing.

family day out
Aug 2019
Excellent day out. My daughter and 6 year old grandson went down the tobaggan twice and loved it. We opted out and we were not bored. Well run and maintained. Amazing views. Cable car was a relaxing ride. Cafe at the top was good. Would highly recommend for all ages

FUN FUN FUN

This is a must do if you’re near the area. We had such a blast on the alpine coaster. We were fortunate that there was only about 12 people there so we didn’t have to wait for anything. Cool cafe at the top for a refreshing beer or a bite to eat between rides down the coaster.

So Fun
Sep 2019 • Couples
We read reviews that said there can be long lines and slow traffic on the rail, but decided to take a chance and we are so glad we did.
It was a Thursday (midday) and it wasn’t crowded at all.
We only bought a tickets to go down one time...that was a mistake. An exhilarating way to spend an afternoon!!

We decided to go ride the Toboggan slide after seeing Rick Steve’s do it on his travel show. We had an absolute blast and the views from the top are stunning!

Absolutely Fuming
Sep 2019
Myself and a friend visited Salzburg last weekend and had set our heart on the slide. We caught 2 buses which on a Sunday was a long event and when we reached the slide it was closed with a sign saying closed due to possible bad weather. As me and my friend had taken our coats off as it was so warm - you can understand the frustration. There was another family there also disappointed as their children had been so excited to ride the slide. In the age of modern technology would it have hurt to post on the website that it was closed so we wouldn't have had a wasted journey. We ended up at the salt mines (it did rain later on the day but the morning had been clear) and it took us nearly 3 hours to get back to Salzburg as some buses in the afternoon are cancelled. Very disappointed as was going home the next morning - top tip - phone before you go as they seem to open when they feel like it!!

What a blast
Jul 2019 • Family
We visited this slide this summer while staying in nearby Wals. We went with our 2 teens. The weather was beautiful and the views outstanding!! This slide was probably the best one we did on our trip through Europe. It is long and fast, I mean fast!! The only bad part is if the person in front of you goes slow, you can almost be at a standstill. Great time otherwise.

The longest and fastest, but 1 rail only
Aug 2019
This toboggan is by far the longest we've seen in Austria. However, since it's on 1 rail, the "SPILL" from one side to another was too much for me. When someone in front of you goes slow, you are stuck! Free ride with Saltzburgerland card is a major advantage.

Skip the castle and ride the mountain!
Aug 2019
While visiting Salzburg, we had a choice. Visit the Castle or Ride the Mountain. My son complained until we decided to pay a cab to drive us all the way to the Sommerrodelbahn. It was about $50 each way and it was worth every penny being that we were tourists. It's safe, fun and a fantastic way to see the Mountains!

Big tip: Grab a beer after a ride or 2 at the top and gaze at the country side. Absolutely stunning!

Epic summer coaster with incredible scenic views. Tighten your seatbelt though as you wouldn’t want to be falling out of this one!
