This is a great little jazz bar near the end of Bourbon St. It gets crowded quickly but the music is what you come for. Great jazz played by really good musicians. If you like good music don't miss this place.

Had a very cool time here. It is not huge by any means, which gives it a great intimate feeling. It is worth the long walk up Bourbon Street to get here, trust me :).

I'm a local and never heard of this venue until a friend posted his visit on FB. What a find. The music was stellar. The pub only required a one drink minimum and the prices were reasonable.

We wanted to listen to good classic New Orleans jazz after dinner. My husband had researched Fritzel's and decided to try it. So glad we did! Up beat participants crowd the bar. The music was joyful and quite good. We bought two cds from them....More

So, so enjoyed a couple of nights here listening to the most fantastic jazz. A very intimate bar - benches and hard chairs so maybe get there early to get a chair if you suffer with a bad back. Drinks are expensive - $5 for...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty

It's just a little more intimate of a setting. I wasn't exactly impressed with it. There's a private bar with low lighting and two different rooms.

They can't get into the bar, but there are lots of other places where jazz bands play. I would suggest a restaurant.

To the best of my knowledge, they begin only at 9 PM. But certainly check the website for more information.
