Great music

Each time we walked by and stopped in they had great music playing. There is not much seating, most of the floor space is for dancing. Drinks were averagely priced for the area.

Went to Famous Door Bar on November 23, 2016 we sat, drank, danced and watched band. Bands singer came around asked for tips and we gave 26 dollars he also asked for song requests, there was not a lot of people in bar. My boyfriend spoke to singer, little dude with head cover on, he was very rude and texting... More

We listened to a few sets while having a few drinks. We love classic rock. Very enjoyable. Lively, even on a Monday night.

Yes Dive Bar on bourbon street cranking out great 80s Classic Rock. Fun crowd even on a Monday night. This place is fun, reminds me of a feat house keg party place with a live kickin cover band. Just plain fun place especially if journey, GnR, AC DC, etc gets your motor running.

We try and hit this place every time we go to New Orleans. It never disappoints. The band plays one classic rock song after another.

If you're like me, not a big fan of some of the hip-hop in many of the Bourbon St dance clubs, then this place is for you. Always busy, always friendly, always fun, and always great rockin cover-bands - all with no cover and reasonable drink prices. We kept going back night after night, after trying other places that just... More

We always end up at Famous Door! This is my favorite place in NOLA. My husband and I spent hours sitting on a bar stool listening to live music during our trip last week. The Junction is our favorite band- Thursday-Sunday night. Fabulous music and atmosphere!

We recently stopped in to enjoy some live music and a couple drinks. The band was absolutely incredible, but the drinks were a bit pricey. Much better deals to be found as far as drinks go but it was definitely worth hanging out for an hour or so taking in the music. This place is a bit of an icon... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
