Really enjoyed this Bourbon Street corner bar with live band. Drinks were good, band was awesome. On same block as our hotel, Royal Sonesta, which made it very convenient getting back to room after one too many drinks!

Luckily there was great music here or we probably would not have stayed for one drink. I cannot believe how rude the staff here were. The day before, we tried the door and they weren't open yet and a waitress walked RIGHT PASSED US and...More

Pretty good band. Would have stayed a lot longer, but the cheap beer was $6.50 and a bottled water was over $3. Way too many places around with cheap beer and good music to stay past the first beer. Last trip to NOLA was good,...More

Great music and great drinks. They have bands and DJs that play a variety of music selections. They have 2 bars available for your drinking needs.

The music always grabs me to come inside. You do not have to buy drinks there and there is no cover. The place is usually so filled with people that no one is trying to make you buy a drink. No one asks for IDs...More

We stumbled upon this place while on our first night in NOLA and looking for a club with the right atmosphere. We ended up having so much fun. The band we saw (can't speak to whether it was the house band or the caliber of...More

We went Tuesday & Wednesday to see "Quarter Note", a very versatile band doing '70s and '80s rocknroll. Very good, keeping the audience well entertained.

After visiting a few bars, we came back to famous door because of bands. Always a good band on stage playing mostly rock and classic rock. Was a good time. Drinks not cheap as other spots, but have to pay bands I guess. Lol. Will...More

If there is one place on the main strip you need to go, this is it. The live music is amazing, the dancing is fantastic and the drinks are as you'd expect. The atmosphere is brilliant, so welcoming and happy. Who knows who you might...More

This is a normal bar, but has a very good live band- The owner ever got on stage and sang some. The music was geared toward a slightly older crowd 40s and over, but younger groups were also enjoying. They have 2 for 1 drinks....More

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great

Over a few years, I've been to the Famous Door several times and it seems they have a different band each time. I hope they don't change to Country and Western music!!! Gotta love that good old Rock & Roll!
