My husband and I did the 10am kayak tour in early Mar. We chose this over a fanboat tour because I didn't want to be crowded on a boat with other people (COVID) and wanted a more peaceful experience. We saw ~10 alligators, some small and some medium, as well as other wildlife like turtles, egrets, frogs, snakes. It felt very safe - the alligators don't want to come near humans, but you can still get close enough for good photo ops. AJ was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the swamp. This would be great for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. Also, it felt safe from a COVID perspective. There was enough space to be distanced from the other boats. Highly recommend this tour! This was such a great experience! We came to NOLA for a bachelorette party and it really allowed us to break from the party and see all the beauty LA has to offer. Our guide, AJ, was so sweet and accommodating. He was also super knowledgeable of the swamp's wildlife and eco-system. We got beautiful pictures and memories that will last a lifetime.
