New Orleans is infamous for its spooky past, filled with tales of voodoo, vampires, ghosts, and witches. During this walking tour, save time with a guide who knows the quickest routes around the Big Easy and brings the folklore and history of the city to life, all during the creepiest time of day—the night. Plus, a centrally located meeting point makes for a hassle-free, fun evening.

It s not a very big museum but loaded with history and memorabilia! Well worth the time to visit. I came away with an appreciation for the history of the CSA. I learned it was about so much more than just slavery. I came away with a better understanding and appreciation of the sacrifices made by the Union and Confederate soldiers. There were so many young lives sacrificed and lost to a rich mans skirmish. In some ways it parallels what is being played out in our present political climate. Rather than try to erase this history, we must appreciate it so as never to repeat it again! Soldiers on both sides fought and died so bravely.

An interesting and edifying collection of Confederate uniforms, weapons, equipment, flags, portraits. I spent about an hour taking it all in. Not busy when I was here.

Memorial Hall is aptly named. It is a shrine to the South, including many interesting Civil War artifacts, including portraits, busts, uniforms, flags, etc. As such it is a museum whcih is more artifact-based than narrative-based. You won't get a good sense of the Civil War as a historical event, but if already know and appreciate the history, Memorial Hall offers some interesting items. I especially enjoyed the large number of items related to Jefferson Davis and his family. This is a good niche museum for those with interest in the Civil War or the Confederacy.

This Museum is loaded with artifacts from the civil war. There is so much history here including the building itself. The museum is small but only $10 to visit. Well worth the couple of hours you can spend here.
