During this walking tour, save time with a guide who knows the quickest routes around the Big Easy and brings the folklore and history of the city to life, all during the creepiest time of day—the night. This church and the Tomb of the Unknown Slave were mentioned on our hop-on hop-off bus tour as being historically significant, and we got off to check it out. Unfortunately, the church was locked when we were there. We were expecting the tomb to be in some m sort of courtyard, but it is just a small area next to the church. It sounds like it would be fun to attend a Jazz Mass.

My first time visiting this historical landmark in an equally amazing history neighborhood (Treme). Everyone should visit and learn some history about the area as well as the significance of this church in history.

I have never had so much fun at church. The choir was lively with a large brass section. I felt like I had gone to a concert.
