At the Irish Cultural Museum of New Orleans you will experience a beautiful Spanish Courtyard among colonial buildings, and a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The Museum consists of interactive kiosks, an auditorium featuring the award winning documentary "Irish New Orleans", a research and reading library, artifacts, and a very unique Coffee House with Gifts and Jewelry specializing in Celtic and Irish New Orleans themed products. This very unique learning facility is the result of a two year collaboration of individuals who are very passionate about the City of New Orleans, its history and its cultures. Audio/Video producers, photographers, researchers, archivists, historians, computer programmers, graphic designers, architects, interior designers, developers, community leaders, and many other have all worked to bring to life the first Museum of its kind in New Orleans. A Monument to the vibrant culture of the City's Irish and their heritage.

This is a pleasant courtyard with a small museum and a bar attached. Pleasant staff, good Irish whiskey, and other drinks including a restorative ginger tea--which we earned from the barkeep was a treatment for cholera back in the days of the Irish immigration boom....More

If you are interested in Irish history, this is a must hit. The museum is not very large, but it's not the size that matters, it's the passion behind it. This is a self funded (along with visitor donations) little Irish museum proud of their...More

We just had the greatest time here! The museum was cool and there were $3 pints of Guinness! Had a great time taking with the owner Mathew. A welcome change to the craziness of Bourbon Street. Highly recommend!

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
