This Church was around the corner from my hotel. I believe its the oldest Catholic Church in New Orleans. The inside was magnificent. I would recommend seeing it to anyone who gets to New Orleans

You have to visit when the Church is not having a service, but it is worth walking in and taking in the look and feel of an ole south icon. It is full of charm and gives a warmth the minute you walk in the door. There are some tours also available if you have the time.

Somewhat hidden among the surrounding high rises, this parish church was built in a beautiful and unique Moorish style. Throughout the soaring building are Christian, Jewish, and Islamic architectural motifs, reflecting a period in Spanish history when these three religious cultures lived in harmony.
