Fabulous tour! I feel that going for a run in a new city is the best way to really get to know it. That definitely applied here but I also had an incredibly knowledgeable guide running with me. Marcus is a wealth of information on all the history of New Orleans, but he can also tell you about all the... More

Great tour! I wanted to get a run in before my family woke up, and this was a great way to have a tour of the city and get my run in while they were in bed. Not too hard, I learned a ton, and it was great to get to see the city by foot. I spent the rest... More

A different way to see the city and get some exercise. Part of the appeal is that not everyone can do this...We had a nice run and Marcus gave us good info and also shared his interesting background. Strongly recommend this if you like to run and sightsee.

I can't say enough good things about this tour. It was two hours of pure fun. Marcus was incredibly knowledgeable, funny and professional. I saw and learned a lot about parts of New Orleans I had never seen before, and burned off some of the delicious food I've been eating. We ran at a decent pace but stopped frequently to... More

Great way to start the weekend. Exercise and a tour. Helped me plan other runs for the weekend as well. Kendrick was a great tour guide. Such a nice and knowledgeable man! Also can give you tips on where to eat, shop, etc. When the tour is over you really feel like you know the city. Highly recommended.

Marcus was professional and fun. We saw a nice sampling of the city which set us up for what areas to explore later in our stay. He provided history while maintaining a nice pace between stops. I felt like I had a workout but wasn't exhausted. Because it was just me and my husband, we got to spend extra time... More

Absolutely loved this tour. To start off we had the opportunity of doing this early morning tour in dense fog which I feel added to the tour. Seeing the empty streets before sun up draped with the dense fog was a great setting for ghost stories and history,, loved this part of it. My wife and I are training for... More

My husband and I participated in the jogging tour on January 3, 2017. Marcus was informative and very friendly. The pace of the run was on the slower end (about an 11 minute mile), while frequently stopping for interesting tidbits of history and information. The run covered a broad area we wouldn't have explored on our own. He even took... More

My two young adult children and I were in the area for a couple of days and we all agreed this tour was the highlight of our visit. Our guide Marcus was full of information about the numerous sites we visited, and kept it fun and interesting. He even took numerous photos that he shared with us later, which was... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
