This tour was amazing! I would recommend it to anyone man or woman. Jeff knew all about the tough, strong women that made New Orleans into the thriving place it is today. He is an excellent guide, and I would recommend any of his tours to anyone visiting New Orleans. Jeff has studied the history of New Orleans extensively and... More

IT was a very entertaining tour, and the guide, Jeffrey, had clearly done his research. Learned a lot about about the history of the city.

We ran across Jeffrey in the St Louis cemetary. There were about 5 tours going on, and he seemed the most knowledgable and best storyteller. He allowed us to join and finish the tour. We liked it so much we took his walking history tour later in the day. He has spent nearly his whole life there, knows the city,... More

This was a super idea. Jeffrey is a great story teller and did an excellent job painting an honest depiction of role of women in New Orleans. It made me feel grateful to live in this century but also for the women who paved the road, making it possible. It was highly worth taking the hour and a half tour... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
