Friends of ours, frequent customers of this elegant gallery, told us to check it out several years ago, although undoubtedly they knew we would likely never be able to effort buying one of these beautiful, colorful, New Orleans-themed paintings, besides would not have enough space...More

I will admit I am biased. In 2005 my family came to NOLA for a convention - we stayed in a big hotel by the water and on our concierge floor was a painting where the moon came alive - the lines of the building...More

We loved the artist's renditions of the city. Pictures are bright, vibrant and give the feeling of life. We'd love sometime to be able to bring some home. The gentleman running the store is very helpful and loves to 'sell' the city.

This is a wonderful gallery to visit. We were trolling the antique shops, dazzled by the chandeliers, when we were dazzled by the windows of this gallery. If there was any artist who evokes a sense of place that is New Orleans, this guy is...More

Very welcoming host, the art was spectacular. It was priced out of range for the average tourist, but a real treat to the art enthusiast of the unique architecture of New Orleans and James' unique capturing of it on canvas.

Not to buy a print (or even a poster, for the budget conscious). The use of color and texture, the obvious love for the architecture and vibe of the city, I had to have it. It was a strain on the wallet, but I'll never...More

I was attracted to this gallery after seeing a small piece of the artist's work in an advertisement. I was blown away by the amazing use of color, perspective and texture in his paintings. The thing that most impressed me is that Mr. Michalopoulos has...More

Everyone should aspire to own art as amazing as this. If you do nothing else in New Orleans be sure to visit The Michalopoulos gallery. His paintings are windows into other dimensions.

Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs
