The Creole Queen is a riverboat that takes you down the Mississippi to the Chalmette Battlefield. The boat itself is very lovely and they offer food and drinks for and extra charge. The real delight of this cruise is the tour guide named Charles. He gave a wonderful history of New Orleans on the way up. On the way back... More

Wonderful entertainment by our guide(Charles). it was as great rendition of the beginnings of New Orleans and the Creole people with a very light hearted comedy included. Some of the story brought people to tears he had warned before hand to go inside if you did not want to hear a certain portion. Would do it again just to hear... More

Our river cruise aboard the Creole Queen was a definite highlight of our vacation to New Orleans. We chose the 10 AM Historical River cruise that sailed to the Chalmette Battlefield. Our cruise was narrated by a wonderfully by a gentleman named Charles. Charles was as educated as he was entertaining. His natural storytelling ability made the historical characters come... More

We booked the cruise on hopes of cruising the Mississippi to the sound of jazz music only be very disappointed. First our ticket said to arrive an hour early which we did. O didn't realize the food would be buffet style so we had eaten most if not all our food before the "cruising" began. Our entertainment for the night... More

We had a wonderful time on our paddleboat trip today. The historian and speaker on board, Charles, really made the experience worthwhile. His stories were very easy to listen to and his passion for Katrina was heartfelt. I would recommend this to everyone, even children...they could understand a lot of the history he was speaking of. It really was "Excellent"!

This is a wonderful 3 hour cruise down the Mississippi River. They offer a meal option with cruise with Cajun dishes that looked and smelled great but we didn't choose that. They do have a open bar with drink specials. The cruse is narrated and very informative about the war of 1812 and the battles fought in New Orleans. They... More

Creole Queen offers a number of different cruises - my son and I opted for the historical river cruise to the Chalmette Battlefield at the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. There's a historian on board and he gives a decent talk on the way about the history of New Orleans, but the battlefield itself was the best part... More

I would highly recommend this. Our guide was Charles Chestnutt and he was amazing. He spoke of the history of New Orleans during our ride out to Chalmette Battlefield and once we arrived at the Battlefield a ranger told us of the battle of 1812 that happened where we were standing. One helpful hint, the ranger's presentation is nearly 30... More

Very comfortable cruise with a great narrator that explains about the area, the history of the area and will personally answer any of your questions while traveling to the site of the Battle Of New Orleans where over 2000 British soldiers died compared to 6 Americans. A park Ranger will take over as your source of information once at the... More
