Locally owned, family run. Capture New Orleans from a different perspective. Kayak our beautiful bayou as we guide you along our historic waterway. We'll keep with the pace of the city--nice and easy, taking in the southern scenery, hospitality and weather.

We offer three tours of varying levels of physical demand and kayaking experience. Taking place on natural, but urban Bayou St. John, paddles focus on history and ecology of the area and New Orleans. Our tours cover pretty much anything and all things relevant to the waterways and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Our website is loaded with information! There you can find full descriptions of each tour, directions to our launch, and even quickly reserve your tour by clicking one of the yellow "book now" buttons.

Sara was a fantastic guide to Bayou St. John. My husband and I have spent a lot of time in New Orleans, but this was a really unique experience for us. While it was a fun and beautiful paddle, it was so much more than this, thanks to Sara! She taught us a great deal about the historical, cultural, and... More

This is fun and relaxing guys. After spending some time in the French, Bourbon, and Magazine, it was great to get some knowledge of the history of the bayou. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. Definitely advise this trip.

I'm a native New Orleanian. Two of my friends from out of town asked me to join them on the Bayou Tour of Bayou St. John. I was surprised at how much fun it was, and how much I learned about the history, wildlife, and environment. I would definitely recommend this tour or any of the others offered by this... More

This is great way to see some of the homes in New Orleans, enjoy the great weather, and have a great time. This was our first time ever kayaking and were unsure of what to expect, especially since we were meeting at the Shell station near Esplanade. However, this is a small privately owned company and the owners are friendly,... More

This 2 hour Bayou St John paddle was beautiful, full of history, and in the most comfortable kayaks we have ever been in. Sara was a fabulous tour guide. True "N'Awlins" hospitality and friendliness.

What a great way to start our New Orleans week! We met up with Keith, they had our bikes all ready to go, and the tour started right there. That man knows his history, he sang, danced, quoted poetry and had us laughing through two hours of biking that just flew by. We then met up with Sonny and Sara,... More

My daughter and I loved this kayak tour. We took the sunset tour, and it was such fun--great information, amazing guides (Sara is friendly and knowledgeable), and incredible sights. This was a terrific way to get off the beaten tourist path and see more than the Garden District of the French Quarter. The kayaking was easy and relaxing (neither of... More

My husband and I took the Big Easy Bayou Tour and we had a great time. Our guide was fantastic- very information and filled us in on many details about the bayou and the city. We loved it and would definitely do it again if we return. It was a great way to see the area and learn more about... More

Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, low-key, and welcoming, Sara and Sonny are the perfect hosts, and Bayou St. John is the perfect place: beautiful and easy to navigate. (Bonus: walk up gorgeous Esplanade Ave. and detour through the cemetery!) Anyone looking for an outdoors experience within the city of New Orleans should take a paddle with Kayak-iti-yat. Perfect for beginners.
