This is a bar....make no mistake, but it is a great music venue. Everyone who has made it in NOLA has played here. Catch a show and enjoy the SUPER affordable drinks and great bartenders. I thoroughly enjoyed the “Here Come the Mummies” show and I will be back. In NOLA and you like music, you have to stop here. It is the “Whisky” of NOLA…

About 15 minutes away from French quarter (Canal St.) by car; it is New Orleans historic music venue, with a great yearly calendar of events. Long weekend concert series of The Rads, with three night show that started around 11:00 PM ending around 1:30 AM on two sets. Every night amazing shows, with different bands opening. Tipitinas had an area at the entrance of the club with merchandise for sale. The ground floor is large with two bars, and bathrooms. One of the bars is at the entrance; and the longest bar is on back wall, that can reach a great spot near the stage. The upper floor has a U form of balcony to enjoy the view of the stage; on the far left is an area of sofas to chill; and the VIP section is located at the far right. Nice bar (awesome bartender) and a bathroom. Great sound, awesome crowd of people from all over USA and locals, and ... finally a couple of options of food trucks outside. I loved this place!!! Photo attached is from Friday night show :)…

We still had a great time but some minor improvements to the place would make it a lot more enjoyable. A large screen above the stage so we can see! I doubt we will go back there when there are much better venues we can fly to experience. …

The pride at this historic venue runs deep. So much history here over the years. We attended a monthly Fa Do Do with the amazing Bruce Draigrepont Cajun Band on a Sunday Evening. Simply fantastic. They also support local music and book a variety. A little something for everyone.
