Review of: St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 Walking Tour
We took the St Louis #1 walking tour. The cemetary is small, and there is a lot of tour groups, but our guide was great at making his way around and getting away from the hoards of people when needed. Our guide was great, taught us a lot about burial and history of the cemetery. Very educational and the money goes toward a good cause.…

Review of: St. Louis Cemetery No. 1 Walking Tour
First and foremost, take this tour because you are financially supporting the preservation of these unique cemeteries. Second, take this tour because you will have a guide who knows everything there is to know about this and all the other cemeteries in New Orleans. Third, know that you will be in a smaller group than the more commercial tours. Our very personable guide provided excellent and interesting information on grave sites throughout the cemetery, not just the "famous" sites, and we left with a good understanding of the burial process in New Orleans. We learned some history of the surrounding area along the way as well, and meeting up at the Backatown Coffee Parlour was a nice plus, since we enjoyed a lovely breakfast there before the tour. Thank you, Save Our Cemeteries, for a great tour and for the work you do!…

The tour guide for this tour was unprepared and she more than once almost skipped important tombs in the first cemetery we went to. The tour was so bad my wife and I decided to skip the second half and enjoy our day in different ways.…

We had so much fun and learned more than we could imagine on our recent tour. Our guide Pat was phenomenal! She was so knowledgeable, funny and took her time which was appreciated. We had a wonderful experience and can't wait to go back and do it again with our teenagers one day and so happy our money went towards such a great organization.…
