I went to the 8am mass on Sunday morning. It was extremely brief. There was no singing, not even the sign of peace was shared amongst church goers. This was my first time here and I wasn't used to the communion being served at the altar railing by kneeling. My line was off to the side so we didn't kneel, but the main line did. Also the priest blessed the gifts/prepared the gifts with his back to the congregation which again was unusual - yet neat! My FAVORITE thing was the mahogany clam shell pulpit! What a showstopper of a piece. So glad I came to this beautiful 1883 Historic Register church.

Beautiful and reverential place to pray. I was just surprised by the Latin Rite at 530 pm Sunday as their website doesn't indicate that this service is so. Prayed and hopefully grew nonetheless.

The church was truly beautiful and reverent. It was an amazingly built architecture. The Statues and Saints all around the church were beautiful. The paintings on the ceilings and walls along with the stain glass windows were amazing. The Altar had a majestic feel to it. We truly enjoyed our visit, and recommend all to go see it for a very peaceful visit during your stay in New Orleans.

History and beauty here, I went to a late Sunday mass and really enjoyed the music and the presentation of the mass by the very young Priest.
