Gray Line New Orleans has been showcasing the city since 1924. Locally owned and operated, the Gray Line schedule includes the award winning Original Cocktail Tour. Another top offering is the Ghost Tour, which has been so intensely researched that the hotel with the most reported Ghost sightings in the city has invited Gray Line to produce an exhibit in their hotel. Among our professionally escorted tours are the Super City Tour, Katrina Tours, Swamp & Bayou, Airboat Swamp Tours, Oak Alley & Laura Plantation Tours, Cemetery & Voodoo, French Quarter & Garden District Walking Tours We limit the number of guests on our walking tours to enhance the experience and the view is always better from our luxurious mini-busses and motor coaches. Our Tour Guides are well trained, licensed, and want to share their personal experiences along the way. Morning to evening you can count on Gray Line New Orleans

We had a wonderful time on this tour...primarily due to John a New Orleans resident who happens to also be a tour guide. His rich history with the city coupled with his love for his city had the entire bus enthralled. Highly recommend this tour.

We were told that our trip began boarding at 11:45 and left at 12:00. We arrived at 11:49 and the bus was full due to being over booked. We were told to board a different bus. It went to two different plantations. Eight people from the original tour were moved to the different bus, which added about 45 minutes to... More

We booked a cocktail tour with Gray Line and expected to be introduced to the history of New Orleans combined with some drinking. There was a tiny bit of historical introduction to each bar (about 2-5 minutes), but on the whole the tour basically involved paying $29 to be walked around the French Quarter from bar to bar. Save yourself... More

We had a great tour guide! He knew all the local history past and present. You can't beat having a local drive you around and tell you about the different locations and its history. Plus it involves no walking!

We'd never done a Gray Line tour before, but after our experience in New Orleans, we will be doing more. On our combination ticket, first we did the Super City Tour which gave us an overview of the area. We stopped at a cemetery for a quick walk through, then another stop at the city park where some guests purchased... More

We took the City Tour with the boat ride on the Mississippi, the Cemetery/Voodoo Tour, the Oak Alley and Laura tours and the Garden District walking tour. All four were excellent, with knowledgeable and engaged tour guides, excellent facilities and good planning. A special shout out to Robi, Mike M., Marcia and Mike the driver to the plantations for providing... More

The Gray Line Cocktail tour is a great introduction to the historic bars of the French Quarter. Filled with lots of detail, it provides a very entertaining look at the history and culture. Our tour guide, Sandi Smith was WONDERFUL! She kept the tour moving and kept us laughing the entire time. If you decide to take this tour, I... More

We booked a combined City and Jazz Cruise and we pleased with everything about it. The bus driver was excellent, spoke clearly and gave lots of interesting information. We seen a number of interesting areas on the City tour. Combined with this was an afternoon Jazz Cruise on The Natchez, which we also enjoyed, again the commentary was great, and... More

We had an excellent ride and tour with Midge and her driver/also guide. She was gracious and provided much information about various locations around the city that we would not have had time to visit. This good overview provided impetus for us to return to some of these points of interest for further exploration. City park was only a short... More

Firstly; the actual tour of Whitney is informative, harrowing, saddening, but worthy of a visit. Our tour guide was exceptional and our group was quite interactive, so there were lots of questions asked and lots of information shared. You see the slave quarters, cookhouse, blacksmiths and jail. There's a wall of honour in memory of those enslaved at Witney, depicting... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
