Grabbed a muffaletta from Central grocery, shared it with the kids, then hopped on the green trolley to Audubon Park sans kids. The slow paced trolley down (or up?) St. Charles provided a nice overview of the garden district. Got off the trolley a short stroll from the main entrance. Walked through the gates, turned left and meandered under the majestic oaks. Strolled all the way back to the oak of all oaks - the Tree of Life. Laid on a picnic blanket and soaked in the serene grandeur. …

The streetcar will bring you here to uptown's Aududon Park right across the street from Loyola University. It so beautiful and peaceful and you can take the path for walking, biking, skating or running and it only about 3 miles or so. Worth the Trip!

This was my 2nd visit to NOLA but first to the park. This park was a welcome slice of heaven compared to hustle (though reduced d/t COVID) of downtown and swarms of homeless and street vendors. Very nice park and will absolutely visit again.
